Heptahedron by Finchy Meng
Heptahedron is a video installation. It has seven abstract projections. It’s trying to use
abstract form to represent Seven Deadly Sins. It combines Rorschach Inkblot, religious
culture and audiences faces to create abstract form. Different people may have very
different experience. It depend on audience’s imagination and personal experience.
Finchy Meng is a MFA candidate. He study in the Department of Digital Arts at Pratt
Institute. His major is Interactive art. He completed his BA at Yunnan University of
China. During that time of study he worked on short movie, 2D animation, oil painting
and illustration. After that, he began to focus on using abstract form to represent certain
specific topic. His work including ceramic, installation, digital image and video.
