Oscar Tan – Hexahedron
MFA Digital Art Thesis Exhibition
Hexahedron is an installation consists of series of surrealistic 3D computer animations which function as abstract self-portraits, aiming to raise the self-cognition of both the author and the audience. All of six animations pieces will be shown simultaneously on six displays with frames. The duration of each animation vary from minutes to days in the form of loop to linear.
Oscar Xiaowei Tan is a young 3D artist based in New York City. After receiving his bachelor degree in Digital Film Production at Communication University of China, he worked as a lighting artist in visual effects industry for one year in Beijing. Currently, he is pursuing his master of fine arts degree in 3D animation at Pratt Institute.
