Loreto Riveros was born in Santiago, Chile, 1985. She has a Bachelor degree in Visual Arts -Painting concentration- from Universidad de Chile (2009). She also has studies in Visual Arts and Art History at University of California Los Angeles (2007) and a postgraduate diploma in Digital Cross-media (graphic design, web, video), from Academia MAC, Chile (2008). Today, she is a student at the MFA in Digital Arts at Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY.

She has accomplished the Student Mobility Scholarship from Universidad de Chile for studying at UCLA (2007), the Academic Collaboration Scholarship from Universidad de Chile (2008), a FONDART government grant, for developing “Render” painting project, given by the Ministry of Culture, Santiago, Chile (2010) and Conicyt Scholarship, for studying a Master in USA (2011).

She has had three solo shows: “Yo soy el Camino, la Verdad y la Vida” at Centro Cultural Estacion Mapocho Gallery, Santiago, Chile (2009), “Render” at Guillermo Núñez Gallery, Santiago, Chile (2011) and “Re-Creo” at Bech Gallery, Santiago, Chile (2012)

She has also exhibited collectively at: N200 ¿Quién emerge y quién cura? At Galería Balmaceda, Concepción, Chile (2008), Young artists contest, Galería el Farol, Valparaíso, Chile (2009), Emergent Artists contest at Museum of Contemporary Art Quinta Normal, Santiago, Chile (2009), Imaginary workshop at Galería Guillermo Núñez, Santiago, Chile (2010), En el día de la Virgen, WIP Gallery, Rosario, Argentina (2011) and From where we stand, at DDA Gallery, Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY (2011).
