“Blossom and Wither”
MFA Digital Arts Thesis Exhibition

Qi Zheng is a young digital artist from China currently studying at Pratt’s Department of Digital Arts in Brooklyn, New York. She combines art and technology in her work as a means of dynamically generating cycles and patterns that we may overlook in nature. In Qi’s interactive installation “Blossom and Wither” visitors can use their bodies to interact with approaching and receding flowers. A field of digital flowers blooming and wilting serves as a metaphor for a cycle of life and technology.
